Golden Girls

The story of Golden Girls revolves on four older women who were living together in a fashionable house which is located Miami beach, Florida. These four includes Dorothy Zbornak [Bea Arthur], Rose Nyland [Betty White], Sophia Petrillo [Estelle Getty] and Blanche Devereaux [Rue McClanahan]. Back to their times, the Girls has their own experiences in a facing such life challenges in terms of marriage, family. But despite all, these four are still on stands and remain best of friends.



Dorothy Zbornak was known "pussycat", her nickname given by her mother Sophia. She continued working as substitute teacher the time after moving in Miami. Dorothy got pregnant one night of their highschool prom and later marries Stanley Zbornak, to legitimize the child named daughter Kate. After 38 years of marriage, Stan finally leaving her for Chrissy, a young flight attendant. Dorothy continues her life with her two children Kate and Michael ,and moving on become grandmother with Michael and Lorraine's child Robbie. Divorce from her ex-husband turned her to a stronger one, and finally moved on her new life together her husband Lucas Hollingsworth [Leslie Nielsen], Blanche's uncle. While Stan had to accept the reality that he never own Dorothy and eventhough it hurts him so bad, he still attended on the wedding of Dorothy and Lucas.

Rose Nylund spent her life in St. Olaf orphanage. Shes around 8 years of age when she adopted by Lindstrom family. After so many years, she was married to a traveling insurance salesman Charlie Nylund and grant three daughters and two sons.. When Charlie died in heart attack, she live alone for a while in St. Olaf before moving to Miami and got a lucrative job as assistant to consumer reporter Enrique Mas . In a later season, Rose became romantically involved with Miles Webber [Harold Gould] , but does not happen to ending up together in the end. During the course of the show, Rose suffered from different health problems in the season finale.

Blanche Devereaux initially owned the house at 1651 Richmond st.,. living with other three girls, the couple Blance and her husband George. They had two daughters and four sons. Without her knowledge, George has seventh child named David from other women when the young boy was looking his father to their house. This led her struggles to the fact of George's being unfaithful during their marriage. Throughout most of the series, George died on accident and Blanche was portrayed as man hungry as she had many admirers even her sexual intercourse with them.

Sophia Petrillo, the mother of Dorothy movied to Miami after she annuled to her ex-husband Salvador Petrillo [Sid Melton]. They had three children.Before she came to live with three Girls, she suffered from stroke that resulted to her affected brain.After being a suspect for a fire, which Shady Pines really does burned to the ground, she moved with the Girls. Throughout the series, Sophia married Max Weinstock, and soon separated as they realized to better end off as friends.

Part of the tv series, the house has been sold and giving each shares. Four Girls become involved in some sort of conflicts and be resolved in the end. Certain episodes features the flashbacks of the numerous experiences from their time together..

Golden Girls during its run completed its seven season from 1985 to 1992. All lead actresses within the series won Emmy Awards as its sitcom as well.
