Two and a Half Men

An American sitcom Two and a Half Men stars Charlie Sheen [Charlie Harper] and Jon Cryer [Alan Harper], two different conflicting personalities together plus a lazy fat school kid Angus T. Hones [David Harper] , Alan's son. It is a comedy show which centers about family, single parenthood, sibling relations, dating, divorce, sex and most important Love. This is more specifically about Life, the life of the two brothers with nephew/son, their conflicting lifestyle to raise David; and those conflicting matters of those persons surrounds them. These includes their toxic and domineering mother Evelyn [Holland Taylor] who divorced for many times; Alan's ex neurotic wife Judith [Marin Hinkle];unapologetically blue-collar housekeeper, Berta [Conchata Ferrell]; Rose [Melanie Lynskey], a crazy neighbor who had a brief fling and remain obsessed with Charlie; and Rose father, Harvey[Martin Sheen].

Charlie Harper is portrayed as chauvinist womanizer, a successful bachelor in writing advertisement jingles at his mid-thirties age. His carefree lifestyle interrupted when his brother Alan and young son David moved in his house. He and David formed a unsuspecting bond with each other.

Alan Harper is an uptight self-conscious nerdy who becomes divorced to his wife Judith. After his divorce, he loses his house which decides him to transfer to his brother Charlie together with his 14 years old son David.

Two and a Half Men features the bonding of the two brothers in despite of their opposite personalities, which is the occurring theme throughout its series. The conflict matters brought by other supporting characters adds in the show in a sense of making it more funnier and hilarious. Enjoying the show is one factor but importantly the moral values it gives. The show runs for five seasons and now renewed and release its fifth season.

Weeds

Weeds is a 2005 american dark comedy featuring Mary-Louise Parker [Nancy], Jeffrey Dean Morgan [Judah], Alexander Gould [Shane], Hunter Parrish [Silas], Justin Kirk [Andy], Tonye Patano [Heylia James] and so many to mention. It has been completed the two seasons which was the highest rated series aired in the year 2005, and also premiered its third season as to continue the series.

Set in the fictional suburb of Agrestic, California, the story begins with a single mother Nancy together her two children Shane and Silas. After the death of his husband Judah, Nancy started to deal with unwanted business as marijuana dealer due to financial crisis and also to maintain their high lifestyle living.The dangerous activities continue to run within the gated community with the guidance of those people who also involved namely Andy, Heylia and Conrad.

The shows depicted the unwanted secrets behind the community.The business runs successfully, Nancy entered into most complicated situations as PTA president Celia destructed and make Agrestic a drug-free zone place without any knowledge with her friend activities...After trying to steal the bunch of weeds from Nancy, Silas was arrested for stealing Celia's survelliance cameras and for committing vandalism. While Celia was taking the car unaware that it is full of marijuana. So as Nancy leaves ends the second season in a cliffhannger.

Third season of this show premiered August 2007 citing the awaited and exciting series and what will be the next happenings.




Brothers & Sisters

Brothers & Sisters is an American Emmy Award-winning television drama series produced by Ken Olin and JOn Robin Baitz. ABC announced the renewed Brothers & Sisters for its second season on March 21, 2007 and September 30, 2007 the premiere of the new season.

The show revolves around the Walker family and their struggles with their daily lives. Set in Sam Marino, California, the family members are all involved running their family-owned business Ojai Food Corp..Part of the family alongside Nora, his brother Saul Holden [Ron Rifkin] also help to run the family business.

Starring Academy and Emmy Award winner Sally Field as Nora who played the mother of five siblings namely: Sarah [Rachel Griffiths], Kitty [Calista Flockhart], Tommy [Balthazar Getty], Kevin [Matthew Rhys], and Justin [Dave Annable]. Trying to live up to their parents expectation, they have their own line of specialization with their field of expertise. As to mention Tommy is a businessman. Sarah as head of the Ojai Food Corp. and also a working mother. Kitty, the communication director for US senator Robert McCallister [Rob Lowe]. Kevin is a gay lawyer, who had been married, divorced and going through a custody of his wife's child. Justin is a veteran of the Afghanistan war and recovering drug addict.

Throughout the season the revelation of major secrets after William Walker's death, Nora's husband. First the sixth sibling named daughter Rebecca Harper [Emily VanCamp] after William's affair with his mistress Holly Harper [Patricia Wettig] for decades. Secondly, Sarah and Tommy who the most active in running the business, discovered the inappropropriate borrowed from the company funds. The revelation has great impact in the lives of family.

Brother & Sisters features the usual domestic lives wherein it features about family relationship, challenges that surrounds within family and how they cope it up. It is a family oriented shows that tested the bonding of the family members.


The Practice

One of the serious sitcoms created by David E. Kelley, The Practice has earned numerous awards like Golden Award for best Drama Series, a Peabody Award, a Viewers for Quality Television Award, an American Bar Association Silver Gavel Award and a Coveted Lumanitas Award. The show had eight mazing seasons with promising provocative and issue-related stories.

The Practice, set in Boston, focuses on Massachusetts law firm and centered the passionate partners and associates and their firm's involvement in a very serious and high profile civil and criminal cases. Many of the firms attorneys believed every single case was important and must be won. The firm is notably known for its strategic practice of pursuing justice, the main priority of the firm.

The Practice starred Dylan McDermott [Bobby Donnell], Lisa Gay Hamilton [Rebecca Washington], Steve Harris [Eugene Young], Camryn Manheim [Ellenor Frutt] and Kelli Williams [ Lindsay Dole], who were originally partners in the law firm. Along with first seven seasons, there are many new characters played in the show and some are omitted. New comers in the show includes Lara Flynn Boyle [Helen Gamble], who often prosecuted cases in which the firm was involved but after seventh season Helen was fired; Marla Sokoloff [Lucy Hatcher] hired as firm's receptionist and also an counselor for rape victim, but vanished in the show and returned in the season finale. James Spader [Alan Shore], a highly unethical friend of Ellenor and hired in the firm but has been fired by Eugene and Jimmy . Jessica Capshaw[Jamie Stringer] joined the practice in place of Lindsay Dole who was convicted of murder.

Bobby quit the firm and leave his friend Eugene in charge. In despite of the firm struggles and delimmas within the firm and partners, it is still on its stand. Remaining senior attorneys of the firm were Ellenor, Eugene and Jimmy in the series finale but happens the dissolutions of the firm. Jimmy departed in the firm to set up his own while Jamie who from the start has love involvement to Eugene also joined to Jimmy and Eugene too.

The Practice often taking a lighter and character-oriented approach. It perfectly deals with the serious issues now a days and can truly emphasizes the legal aspects and truth.
